Job summary

National Theatre is seeking an Assistant Communications Officer to support the Communications team in delivering campaigns and handling press materials across the three stages and tours.

The role requires a proactive, can-do approach, strong writing and planning skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a busy environment. It involves close collaboration with the Communications Manager and Show Publicity teams.

Qualifications

• Experience in PR, media or internal communications.
• Planning, administrative and organisational skills to manage a busy workload and deadlines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Meticulous attention to detail and ability to respond to daily demands.
• Collaborative team player in a busy environment.

Responsibilities

• Support integrated press and communications campaigns across key priorities.
• Assist with administrative and operational activities for the Communications team.
• Prepare and distribute press and internal materials; facilitate interview logistics.
• Handle inquiries and requests; maintain records and archive production and publicity images.
• Support events and research for NT campaigns and Learning programmes.
