Job summary

April Quest Ltd seeks an Electronics Service Technician to diagnose and repair professional audio, video and wireless gear down to component level. You will assemble, disassemble and test electronic products while handling SMT and through-hole rework and PCB testing.

Ideal candidates read complex schematics, interpret data sheets, and have solid soldering skills plus familiarity with oscilloscopes, DMMs and bench power supplies. On-site role in the UK.

Qualifications

• Education to minimum HNC level in electronics or related field.
• At least 2 years' experience in a related role.
• Able to read and interpret complex schematics and data sheets.
• Competent at soldering and reworking fine pitch SMT and through-hole components.

Responsibilities

• Fault-finding and repairing professional audio, video and wireless equipment down to component level.
• Assembling, disassembling and testing electronic products.
• Reworking PCBs containing both surface mount and through-hole components.
• Preparing estimates and documenting work performed for our customers.
• Repairing and maintaining test equipment.
