Job summary

Trafford Council is seeking a Private Rented Sector Support Officer in the Housing Options Team, based in Sale. You will assist the PRS Lead to widen the private sector housing available for homeless households and manage sign-ups, inspections and rent accounts.

The role requires strong customer service, IT proficiency and good communication. A flexible approach to SMART working is encouraged, with hybrid arrangements and close liaison with Accommodation and HOST teams.

Qualifications

• Self-motivated and organized with experience in a similar role.
• Experience delivering high customer service standards.
• Understanding GDPR and safeguarding principles.

Responsibilities

• Support the PRS Lead within HOST to increase private sector housing for homeless households.
• Assist with sign-ups, property inspections and rent account monitoring.
• Liaise with Temporary Accommodation Team and HOST Officers to manage accommodation efficiently.
• Deal with enquiries from residents and landlords and arrange furniture packages and deliveries.
