Vivid Resourcing Ltd is supporting a Local Authority in the East Midlands by sourcing a Private Sector Housing Officer. The role focuses on enforcing Housing Act 2004, conducting HHSRS inspections, and managing disrepair and damp/mould investigations to ensure compliance in private sector housing.

The contractor will handle a varied caseload, including HMO licensing duties, and will serve statutory notices as enforcement action progresses. Strong knowledge of housing standards is essential.

Qualifications

• Experience in Local Authority Private Sector Housing or Housing Standards.
• Strong knowledge of housing enforcement legislation.
• Experience conducting HHSRS inspections.
• Background in damp and mould investigations.
• Experience handling disrepair and private sector housing complaints.
• Knowledge of HMO licensing and compliance.
• Ability to take enforcement action and serve statutory notices.

We are currently working with a Local Authority in the East Midlands that is seeking an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer to provide temporary support within its Private Sector Housing Team. This role requires a contractor with a strong background in private sector housing enforcement and the ability to manage a varied caseload of housing standards work.

Key Responsibilities

• Undertaking HHSRS inspections and assessments

Essential Experience

• Previous experience within a Local Authority Private Sector Housing or Housing Standards Team
• Strong knowledge of housing enforcement legislation
• Experience conducting HHSRS inspections
• Background in damp and mould investigations
• Experience handling disrepair and private sector housing complaints
• Knowledge of HMO licensing and compliance
