Job summary

Priory Hospital Barnt Green is seeking a Private Consultant Psychiatrist for a sessional/self-employed private practice at our hospital. The role offers immediate patient flow and the backing of the Priory brand.

You will assess and treat a diverse patient mix, with opportunities to build and manage your own practice, supported by marketing, governance, and admin services, while maintaining high standards of care.

Qualifications

• Experience in addictions, admitting patients, and CAMHS.
• Preference for those who can develop a private practice within Priory Hospital Barnt Green.
• Ability to work within a multi-disciplinary team and comply with private practice standards.

Responsibilities

• Assess and treat a diverse mix of inpatient and outpatient population.
• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of therapists, nurses, healthcare assistants and dietitian.
• Engage in quality improvement and governance activities.
• Network with professional colleagues and referral sources.
• Market yourself and your private practice in conjunction with Priory, and register with private medical insurers.
• Maintain professional development and meet Revalidation requirements.
