During Term Time: 30 hours, Wednesday-Saturdays.

(Usual days off Sunday, Monday & Tuesday).

During school holidays: average 60 hours per week. Nanny to be on duty for half of children’s holidays, 9-10 weeks of the year.

Hours above 30 hours, paid overtime.

Requirements:

· During Term Time: Available from Wednesdays to Saturdays till 5pm during term time (Wednesday, Thursday, Friday Live-In).

· During school holidays: The nanny is working when children are with their father – this is for half of the school holidays (approximately 65 days per year) i.e. February, May & October half terms, Easter, Summer and Christmas holidays. Mostly spent abroad.

· Travel abroad up to 9-10 weeks of the year (some holidays in the UK countryside).

· Children are building up time spent with father; therefore, the current schedule is subject to change.

· Progression to rota nanny (one week/one week) in the future (55-60 hours average per week) for 26 weeks a year with salary of £45k depending on qualifications/experience, whether live-in/live-out.

About Us

On behalf of out private client, we are looking for a Live-in Nanny.

(Live-out during days off) to care for 4 children ages - 7G-10B-15G-1G in Knightsbridge.

Single parent household with recently divorced father (and housekeeper-cook), so a nanny who is

kind, warm, nurturing, child centred, flexible and organised is required.

The nanny is mainly focused on the younger two children.

This family loves fun active holidays, museum trips and spending time with the larger extended family.

Accommodation: Live-in Tuesday/Wednesday to Saturday, number of nights live-in flexible.

Own Bedroom and bathroom shared with the children and can live-out during their days off.

Responsibilities & Duties:

General Daily Care . Where applicable, providing help with and/or managing dressing the children, bathing, grooming, and dental hygiene.

Meals. Preparing and feeding the children nutritious meals and snacks during the day, ensuring a healthy and well-balanced diet (working with the Housekeeper Cook as she manages the weekly shops and meal planning).

Health & Well-Being . Looking after the children’s general health and well-being including: maintaining their physical safety at all times, caring for them when they are ill, and attending medical appointments when necessary.

Planning and involving the children in activities that promote their emotional, social, and

intellectual development, as well as support their special interests. Accompanying them to activities

outside of the home. Promoting development of their English and foreign language and

communication skills. Actively helping them to achieve solutions to problems. Encouraging

independence and instilling confidence.

Routine. Providing a well-rounded, educational and fun day for the children, also ensuring they

are achieving adequate amounts of nourishment and rest.

Environment . Nurturing and promoting feelings of warmth and security.

Cleanliness . Maintaining a high standard of order and cleanliness in bedrooms (including cupboards, closets and drawers) and bathrooms, play areas including closets and drawers. Keeping toys and equipment clean and tidy. Managing their washing and ironing, wardrobe management and working closely with mother’s nanny to ensure children have everything they may need.

Discipline. Setting age-appropriate boundaries, good values and expectations in line with the Employer’s discipline, philosophy and values; reporting to the Employer when issues arise so that the Employer and Nanny can ensure they are reinforcing each other.

Diary. Maintaining a diary that chronicles the children’s daily events, tracks milestones, general development, and other observations for the Employer.

Qualifications & Experience: The ideal Nanny will;

Have qualifications and experience working with similar families.

Have a genuine interest and passion working with children.

Positively contribute to the children’s growth and development.

Be highly organised, hands-on, proactive, active, reliable, trustworthy, calm, discreet & highly professional.

Be able to maintain a high standard of order and cleanliness.

Be able to confidently manage children’s needs.

Be happy to be flexible should family plans change at the last minute.

Be a team player is essential as the Nanny will be required to work closely with the Live-in Housekeeper-Cook and mother’s Nanny, and from time-to-time extended members of the family.

Driving not essential but this is an advantage.

Start ASAP. Trial will be arranged to give each party the chance to get to know one another and ensure the best fit for the family and the nanny.
