Job summary

Vertas Group's Passenger Transport Team is recruiting a private hire driver to transport children to and from school in a safeguarding-focused environment. The role is part-time, 25 hours over 38 weeks, with early-morning and mid-afternoon shifts.

You will need a West Suffolk Private Hire Licence or be willing to obtain one, and you must hold a full UK driving licence. DBS and other checks may be required.

Qualifications

• West Suffolk Private Hire Licence, or willingness to obtain one.
• Full UK driving licence.
• Experience in a driving or customer-facing role.
• Enhanced DBS check, declaring cautions and convictions not protected by filtering rules
• Right to work check
• Satisfactory references
• Occupational health and medical clearance, where applicable
• Assessment of suitability to work with children
• Caring, reliable and professional nature
• Safety-led approach
• Commitment to safeguarding children, young people and vulnerable adults
• Willingness to agree to a training bond if no Private Hire Licence is held
