Job summary

Schroders is seeking a Legal Counsel for the Schroders Capital Private Equity team in London. You will manage all legal aspects of the private equity fund and product structuring, investment processes, and related contracts, reporting to the global private markets legal network.

Demonstrable 2–4 years’ PQE in private equity, with a strong understanding of Luxembourg fund structures and key regulations (AIFMD, SFDR, SDR).

Qualifications

• PQE of 2–4 years in private equity/private assets funds team.
• Technical understanding of a range of private equity funds (including Luxembourg structures) and underlying investments globally.
• Working knowledge of AIFMD, SFDR, SDR.

Responsibilities

• Project manage the legal workstreams of new funds and mandate launches for Schroders Capital Private Equity.
• Lead internal legal reviews of fund documentation with external counsel when applicable.
• Lead investor negotiations and coordinate with external counsel as needed.
• Oversee external counsel performing due diligence to ensure consistency across the business.
• Assist with queries during the fund life cycle and participate in product life cycle committees.
• Coordinate with Compliance, Risk, Client Group and Finance for fund-related matters.
