Job summary

Barclay Simpson is seeking an experienced Private Cloud Security Architect for an inside IR35 contract role. You will bridge security architecture and engineering to embed security into a new on‑prem private cloud platform.

You will work with infrastructure teams, translating threats into practical designs, controls and automated testing, across compute, virtualization, networking, storage and open‑source stacks. Hybrid working in Cambridge (1 day/wk) with 4 days WFH.

Qualifications

• Experience designing or building private cloud infrastructure.
• Knowledge across compute, virtualization, networking, storage and open‑source stacks.
• Hands‑on security with cloud platforms and infrastructure tooling.

Responsibilities

• Embed security into the on‑prem private cloud platform from the outset.
• Translate threats and security requirements into practical designs and controls.
