Job summary

Capital Tax Recruitment is seeking an experienced Private Client Trust Tax Manager or Senior Manager in Leeds. The role oversees trust and estate tax compliance, including Trust Registration, IHT returns, and Self-Assessment, while supporting advisory work such as Capital Gains Tax calculations and remuneration planning.

The ideal candidate holds CA/ATT/CTA/STEP or equivalent, with strong experience in Trust and Estate Tax Compliance and client portfolio management.

Qualifications

• The candidate has strong experience in Trust and Estate Tax Compliance, Trust Registration and IHT Returns.
• Proven client portfolio management skills and ability to undertake independent technical research.
• Experience with CCH applications; estate administration knowledge is advantageous.
• Hybrid working, professional development and long-term career progression are offered.

Responsibilities

• Oversee trust and estate tax compliance, including Trust Registration, Inheritance Tax returns and Self-Assessment.
• Support private client advisory work such as Capital Gains Tax calculations and real-time reporting.
• Remuneration planning and contributing to tax process and technology improvements.
• Review junior team members' work and identify opportunities for development.
