Job Description

What will you be doing? We're seeking a talented individual to join our Private Client Tax team in Bristol. This role will provide tax compliance and advisory services for a wide range of private clients - individuals, trusts, private companies, and family offices.

As a Private Client Tax Manager, your responsibilities will include among others:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients including sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non-UK domiciliaries, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts.
  • Identifying advisory opportunities for clients and managing these projects.
  • Liaising with Partners, demonstrating strong management skills, conducting appraisals, monitoring staff performance, and providing on-the-job training for junior staff.
  • Managing administration of client portfolios, ensuring compliance, accounts, tax returns, and tax computations are completed accurately and timely.
  • Preparing reports for clients, attending meetings, and responding to ad-hoc inquiries regarding personal tax affairs.
  • Providing exceptional client service and maintaining regular contact with clients.

Qualifications

Experience and Skills:

  • Experience gained within a professional services firm.
  • Good knowledge of personal tax compliance, with some exposure to planning/advisory work.
  • Ability to plan workload to meet deadlines and handle pressure.
  • Excellent written communication skills for drafting correspondence with clients and HMRC.
  • Strong interpersonal skills for liaising with clients and staff.
  • Customer-focused with a commitment to meeting deadlines and client needs.
  • Ability to supervise staff and support senior management.

Education and Qualifications:

ACA/CTA or equivalent qualification.
