Job Description:

We are seeking a talented newly qualified team member to join our Private Tax team in Salisbury, responsible for delivering annual tax compliance work for a diverse portfolio of clients.

As an Assistant Manager, you will be part of the delivery team handling client compliance, planning work, routine checks, and practice development. This is a great opportunity for a newly qualified tax professional to develop their career in a growing team.

Responsibilities include:

  • Managing a portfolio of clients, including sole traders, partners, HNWIs, non-UK residents, partnerships, and trusts
  • Completing all administrative aspects of the portfolio, including compliance, accounts, tax returns, and computations
  • Identifying planning opportunities
  • Preparing client reports
  • Attending client meetings
  • Responding to client inquiries regarding their personal tax affairs

Qualifications:

  • Experience within a professional services firm
  • Knowledge of private client tax issues, including capital gains tax, inheritance tax, and trusts
  • Experience meeting deadlines for compliance and advisory projects
  • Self-motivated, organized, eager to learn, and a team player
  • Potential experience in people management

Professional Qualifications:

  • Newly Qualified Chartered Accountant and/or Chartered Tax Adviser
