Job summary

Butler Rose is seeking a Probate, Trusts & Estates Senior to join its Private Client team in Ely and/or Bury St Edmunds on a hybrid basis. The role offers a salary of £36,000 to £39,000 and a clear path to develop specialist probate, estate administration and trust taxation expertise within a supportive team.

You will work closely with experienced colleagues, manage client relationships, and contribute to a varied portfolio of private clients.

Qualifications

• Experience in probate, estate administration, trust taxation or personal tax is advantageous.
• Ability to manage probate and estate matters with a degree of autonomy and take responsibility for client relationships.
• Genuine interest in developing a specialist career within private client tax, probate and estate administration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare IHT400 forms and supporting documents for grant of probate applications.
• Compile probate papers and aid estate administration.
• Capture estate information using specialist software for forms and tax computations.
• Draft estate accounts and support estate tax returns or HMRC reporting.
• Prepare and submit self-assessment tax returns for trusts and estates.
