Join a dynamic and growing Private Client Tax team as a Private Client Tax Senior Manager in this pivotal role. You'll lead a portfolio of high-net-worth clients, provide technical excellence, and play a key part in driving business growth while mentoring the next generation of tax professionals.

Job Title: Private Client Tax Senior Manager

Location: Birmingham Office, B69

Salary: Up to £80,000!!

Due to the current growth within the team, they are on the hunt for a talented Private Client Tax Senior Manager to come and join their journey.

What You'll Do -

Client Leadership & Technical Excellence:

• Review tax returns and computations within agreed timescales, ensuring efficient and risk-managed compliance delivery
• Support senior staff on tax planning and ad hoc projects
• Build strong client relationships and manage expectations for high-net-worth individuals
• Provide expert advice on complex tax matters including international clients, property, income tax, capital gains tax, IHT, trusts and estates

Specialist Knowledge Areas:

• UK resident and non-domiciled tax matters
• Offshore trusts and structures
• International taxation developments and legislation
• Tax expert witness work for divorce and separation proceedings

Business Development & Management:

• Manage work in progress to meet recoverability targets
• Provide realistic fee quotes and regular client updates
• Respond quickly to client needs and maintain regular communication
• Minimise professional risk through appropriate documentation and consultation

Leadership & Development:

• Mentor junior staff and provide technical training
• Take leadership within the manager team

The Individual -

Essential Qualifications & Experience:

• CTA qualified with recent and relevant experience
• STEP and ADIT qualifications would be advantageous
• Proven experience in private client tax management
• Advanced understanding of tax matters for private clients with international interests

Technical Expertise:

• Demonstrable knowledge across multiple tax areas relevant to private clients
• Experience with UK and international taxation developments
• Excellent report writing skills, adaptable to different audiences
• Ability to handle court-appropriate reports and expert witness work
• Confident interaction with HMRC on complex issues

Leadership & Interpersonal Skills:

• Strong ability to establish credibility with Partners and clients
• Excellent interpersonal skills and relationship-building capabilities
• Flexible, professional approach with commercial mindset
• Passion for delivering quality while being commercially aware
