Job summary

ACCA Careers in Sevenoaks seeks a Private Client Tax Senior to support clients with tax compliance and advisory needs, ensuring obligations are met while maximising opportunities. You will manage a substantial portfolio and act as the primary contact for clients, providing clear guidance on UK tax matters.

Qualifications

• 4+ years experience in personal tax in an accountancy practice setting.
• ATT/CTA studier or qualified.
• Experience managing a portfolio of clients.
• Experience of complex compliance and starting to assist clients with advisory projects.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and review personal tax and Making Tax Digital (MTD) returns with minimal supervision.
• Manage a portfolio of clients (circa 225), acting as their primary point of contact and ensuring excellent client service.
• Prepare and submit P11Ds, benefits-in-kind calculations, and employer Class 1A NICs, providing guidance on compliance requirements.
• Produce accurate tax computations, including income tax, capital gains tax, and other personal tax matters.
• Support, review, and mentor junior team members, providing technical guidance and development opportunities.
• Handle HMRC enquiries, correspondence, disclosures, and more complex tax matters, including inheritance tax, capital gains, and non-resident issues.
• Identify tax planning opportunities, manage client deadlines, and ensure compliance with current UK tax legislation and best practice.
