Job summary

ACCA Careers in Weybridge seeks a Private Client Tax Manager to lead a portfolio of high‑quality tax work for private individuals. You will prepare and review self‑assessment returns, advise on inheritance tax and capital gains, and implement tax planning strategies for clients while ensuring HMRC compliance.

Qualifications

• Professional qualifications in tax or accountancy such as CTA, ATT, or ACCA.
• Strong technical knowledge of personal tax and related legislation.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships effectively.
• Experience in delivering tax planning advice to private clients.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients, delivering tailored tax advice and solutions.
• Prepare and review self-assessment tax returns and associated computations.
• Advise clients on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and other personal tax matters.
• Assist with tax planning strategies to optimise clients' financial positions.
• Ensure compliance with HMRC regulations and stay updated on changes in tax legislation.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a trusted advisor.
• Provide support and guidance to junior team members as needed.
• Collaborate with other departments to deliver a seamless client experience.
