Job summary

A leading accountancy and advisory firm in the United Kingdom is seeking a Private Client Tax Manager to join its established tax team. You will manage a portfolio of private clients, delivering both compliance and advisory services in a supportive environment.

You will have responsibility for identifying planning opportunities, maintaining client relationships, and ensuring deadlines are met, with hybrid working and clear opportunities for progression.

Qualifications

• CTA/ACA/ACCA or equivalent with private client tax experience.
• Experience managing portfolios of private client tax matters.
• Strong knowledge of personal tax legislation and compliance.
• Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Ability to research and interpret complex tax legislation.
• Experience reviewing work and mentoring junior staff.
• A commercial, client-focused approach.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private clients and act as the main point of contact.
• Deliver personal tax compliance and advisory work.
• Identify tax planning opportunities and potential risks for clients.
• Build and maintain strong long-term client relationships.
• Coordinate workflow and meet HMRC deadlines.
• Review junior colleagues’ work and provide guidance.
• Collaborate with the wider tax team on complex matters.
• Monitor portfolio performance, productivity and profitability.
