Job summary

PKF Francis Clark is seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Private Client Tax team in Salisbury. You will manage a portfolio of trusts and estates, delivering trust accounting, tax compliance and advisory services while building strong relationships with trustees, beneficiaries and professional advisers.

You will also supervise junior colleagues, contribute to team growth and develop your own career in a varied compliance and advisory role within a leading regional firm.

Qualifications

• Qualified ATT, CTA, ACA or ACCA with trust accounts experience.
• Strong knowledge of trust accounts preparation and trust taxation.
• Experience managing client relationships and delivering work to a high standard.
• Familiar with inheritance tax and capital gains tax matters.
• Capable of mentoring junior colleagues and meeting deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of trust and estate clients and act as main contact.
• Review and oversee annual trust accounts and trust tax returns.
• Review personal tax returns and support complex compliance.
• Prepare inheritance tax returns and capital gains calculations.
• Meet clients to understand needs and provide practical advice.
• Draft reports and correspondence for clients and intermediaries.
• Identify tax planning opportunities relating to trusts and estates.
• Liaise with HMRC, solicitors and financial advisers.
• Support development of junior team members.
