Job summary

PKF Francis Clark is seeking an Assistant Manager or Manager to join our Private Client Tax team in the Bristol area. You will manage a diverse portfolio of trusts and estates for high-net-worth clients, delivering trust accounting, tax compliance and advisory services while building strong relationships with trustees and advisers.

You'll also support the development of junior team members, oversee trust accounts and tax returns, and contribute to inheritance tax planning and estate

Qualifications

• Experience with trust accounts preparation and trust taxation.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships and deliver work to a high standard.
• Familiar with inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and related trust matters.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of trust and estate clients, acting as a key contact for trustees, beneficiaries and advisers.
• Review and oversee the preparation of annual trust accounts and trust tax returns.
• Review personal tax returns and support more complex compliance matters.
• Prepare and review inheritance tax returns, capital gains tax computations and 60-day property reporting obligations.
• Meet with clients to understand their needs and provide practical tax and trust-related advice.
• Draft reports, technical advice and correspondence for clients and intermediaries.
• Identify tax planning opportunities relating to trusts, estates and succession planning.
• Liaise confidently with HMRC, solicitors, financial advisers and other contacts.
• Review the work of junior team members and support their development.
• Manage workflow and deadlines; maintain high standard of client service.
