Job summary

AAB delivers tax compliance services to UHNW/HNW individuals, seafarers, partnerships, trusts and estates from its Glasgow office. This role leads by example, guiding a team of tax professionals and delivering timely compliance work.

You will report to the Head of Tax Compliance and collaborate with Tax Advisory and other Business Units to provide high-quality service across AAB offices.

Qualifications

• Professional tax qualification or qualified by experience.
• Post-qualification experience in a tax advisory role.
• Ability to undertake independent technical research.
• Good knowledge of Excel and Word.
• Experience using PowerPoint (Desirable).

Responsibilities

• Manage own client portfolio and act as main contact, ensuring timely MTD quarterly reporting, Final Declarations, Self-Assessment returns and Trust accounts.
• Follow AAB tax compliance processes and internal workflows with accurate data and real-time timesheets.
• Manage WIP, propose new work, and raise fees or uplifts where appropriate.
• Identify opportunities for additional work within client portfolios and cross-sell services.
• Meet annual targets for winning new work as set by leadership.
• Review work by junior team members and support their development.
