AAB is a leading professional services firm recruiting a Private Client Compliance Trust Tax Manager/Senior Manager for Glasgow. You will manage client portfolios, ensure timely tax filings, and drive growth within the tax compliance practice.

Independent research, strong client engagement, and experience with Trust and Estate tax are essential. The role offers hybrid working and clear progression within a supportive team.

Qualifications

• Qualified tax professional with post-qualification experience.
• 2–3 years post-qualification tax compliance experience in an Assistant Manager role or higher.
• Experience with Trust and Estate Tax Compliance, TRS, Trust administration and IHT Returns.
• Ability to undertake independent technical research.
• Track record of handling a client portfolio with strong client engagement.

Responsibilities

• Manage own client portfolio and be main contact, ensure quarterly reporting and tax returns meet deadlines.
• Follow AAB Tax Compliance processes and use technology to improve efficiency.
• Oversee WIP, proposals for new work and fee uplifts when needed.
• Identify opportunities for additional work within client portfolio and cross-sell services.
• Meet targets for winning new work set by leadership.
• Review work prepared by junior team members.
• Prepare ad hoc advisory work (CGT, remuneration planning, IHT returns, etc.).
• Liaise with Tax Advisory team and other Business Units as required.
• Line manage and mentor junior team members.
• Embed change and new technology within AAB processes.
