Job summary

Crowe Watson Recruitment is partnering with a leading Birmingham firm to recruit an experienced Private Client Tax Assistant Manager. The role offers flexible working, a strong company pension, and clear pathways for career progression.

You will manage a portfolio of private client tax cases, review work by juniors, and provide advisory support on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trusts. Mentoring junior staff is a key part of the role.

Qualifications

• Experience with private client tax for high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
• Strong client-facing communication and relationship management.
• Ability to manage a diverse portfolio and prioritise tasks.
• Experience mentoring junior team members.
• UK practice experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private client tax cases, including high-net-worth individuals and trusts.
• Review tax returns and computations prepared by junior staff.
• Provide advisory support on inheritance tax, capital gains tax, and trust planning.
• Build and maintain strong client relationships, acting as a key point of contact.
• Support the development and mentoring of junior team members.
