Job summary

Chadwick Nott is supporting a Torquay-based Private Client team in recruiting a solicitor with strong technical ability and a genuine commitment to guiding clients through important decisions. You’ll handle Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and related tax matters with autonomy and a focus on superb client care.

You will develop your practice within a friendly, collaborative team, supervising juniors, contributing to business development, and helping shape the department’s ongoing growth in a

Qualifications

• Strong experience across a broad range of private client matters, including complex work.
• Compassionate and committed to outstanding client service.
• Confident in supporting and developing junior team members.
• 5+ years' PQE in private client work, ideally with STEP membership or working towards it.
• Commercially aware and proactive in contributing to team success.
• Interested in developing a specialist technical focus within private client law.

Private Client Solicitor - Torquay

Based in Torquay this growing Private Client team offers high quality work across Wills, Probate, LPAs, Trusts and Inheritance Tax matters. They're now seeking a lawyer with strong technical ability and a genuine commitment to supporting clients through some of life's most important decisions.

You’ll enjoy the autonomy to develop your practice while being part of a friendly, collaborative team known for delivering exceptional client care.

The work is varied and engaging, covering Wills, Estate Administration, Probate, Lasting Powers of Attorney, Trusts, Inheritance Tax Planning and Trust Administration. Alongside your caseload, you’ll play a key role in supervising and mentoring junior colleagues, contributing to business development and helping shape the continued growth of the department.

• Strong experience across a broad range of private client matters, including complex work handled with minimal supervision.
• Compassionate, approachable and committed to delivering outstanding client service.
• Confident supporting and developing junior team members, embedding best practice and consistency.
• 5+ years' PQE in private client work, ideally with STEP membership or working towards it.
