Job summary

Sort Legal Limited in Birmingham is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive to join a progressive firm with growth ambitions. You will manage your own caseload, drafting wills and trusts, handling probate matters, and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Qualifications

• At least 2 years’ PQE as a Private Client Solicitor or Legal Executive.
• Broad experience across private client work.
• Strong technical knowledge and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Managing your own caseload of private client matters.
• Drafting wills and trusts.
• Preparing probate applications and administering estates of varying complexity.
• Advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney.
• Handling contentious and non-contentious probate matters.
• Making applications to the Court of Protection and advising elderly and vulnerable clients.
• Preparing deeds of variation and advising on gifts.
• Liaising with solicitors, the Probate Registry, Land Registry, Office of the Public Guardian, and other third parties.
• Working collaboratively with colleagues and external professionals where required.
