Would you like to be one of the lawyers who helps establish a successful regional firm in a completely new market?

An established East Midlands law firm has recently expanded into Derby and is looking for an experienced Private Client Solicitor to become part of its new offering in the city.

This is a chance to join at an exciting stage of the firm’s growth – with the support, infrastructure and existing client base of an established practice behind you, but considerably more opportunity to make your mark than you would typically find joining a long-established office.

The Firm

This is an established regional law firm with a strong presence across the East Midlands, providing a broad range of services to individuals and businesses.

Its expansion into Derby represents a significant new chapter for the firm and creates an excellent opportunity for lawyers who want to be part of developing its presence in the city.

You’ll have the backing of experienced colleagues across the wider firm, established systems and resources, while becoming part of the firm’s new Derby offering from an early stage.

For the right Private Client lawyer, that means visibility, autonomy and the opportunity to develop your profile alongside the firm’s own growth in Derby.

The Role

You’ll handle a varied Private Client caseload while becoming an important part of the firm’s developing presence in the Derby market.

Your work will include:

• Wills and estate planning
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Trust matters
• Inheritance tax planning
• Later-life and succession planning
• Building long-term relationships with clients and professional contacts

You’ll have autonomy over your own matters, backed by the expertise and resources of the wider firm.

There will also be the opportunity to develop relationships with local accountants, IFAs and other professionals as the firm’s presence in Derby continues to grow.

Crucially, you aren’t being asked to build a Private Client practice from scratch. You’re joining an established firm that is investing in a new location and wants an experienced lawyer to be part of that growth.

You

You’ll be a qualified Solicitor with solid experience across Private Client matters and the confidence to independently manage your own caseload.

You’ll be comfortable advising clients across wills, probate and estate administration, with wider experience involving trusts, LPAs and tax planning particularly useful.

You’ll also enjoy building relationships with clients and professional contacts and be attracted by the opportunity to have a visible role within a growing office.

Both full-time and part-time candidates can be considered.
