Job summary

Chadwick Nott seeks a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive in Treorchy to handle wills, LPAs, probate and related matters. Hybrid working considered, permanent role with flexible full-time or part-time options.

You will join a busy Private Client Department, gaining exposure to high-quality work across trusts, Court of Protection matters and contentious probate, under supervision and mentorship.

Qualifications

  • Experience in wills, LPAs and probate.
  • Strong client care skills and a sensitive, professional approach.
  • Good drafting and organisational skills.
  • Confidence managing files with appropriate supervision.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with solicitors, trainees and support staff.
  • Sound judgment and awareness of when to elevate technical or sensitive issues.
  • Interest in developing a broader private client practice.
  • STEP qualification, TEP status or willingness to work towards STEP (highly desirable).

  • Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney work.
  • Probate and estate administration.
  • Professional executor and full estate administration work.
  • Trusts (where appropriate).
  • Court of Protection matters (where appropriate).
  • Exposure to estate disputes and contentious probate (depending on experience).
  • Managing files confidently and efficiently.
  • Supervising junior colleagues and supporting their development.
  • Delivering high quality client service and maintaining strong relationships.
  • Drafting content for legal updates.
  • Attending conferences, networking events and identifying business development opportunities.
  • Cross referring work across the wider Private Client and Family teams.

Private Client Solicitor / Chartered Legal Executive - Treorchy

Location: Treorchy (Hybrid working considered)

Type of Role: Permanent, Full-time or Part-time

Salary: £40,000 to £55,000 (dependent on experience)

A long established regional practice is seeking a Private Client Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive to join its busy and well respected Private Client Department. This is an excellent opportunity for someone looking to develop a broad and rewarding private client practice within a supportive, progressive team.

You’ll gain exposure to high quality work across wills, lasting powers of attorney, probate, estate administration, trusts, Court of Protection matters and contentious probate. The department is led by an experienced Head of Department with full TEP membership, offering strong supervision, mentoring and technical development.
