Private Client Solicitor (Care & Capacity)

This full time Private Client Solicitor (Care & Capacity) position in Devon suits a qualified lawyer with two or more years' post-qualification experience. Joining eNL, the successful candidate handles sensitive matters for vulnerable clients, covering mental capacity, Court of Protection work, lasting powers of attorney and deputyship applications. Day to day duties include managing a varied caseload, advising families and guiding them through difficult legal processes with professionalism and empathy. Strong communication, technical knowledge and a compassionate approach are essential. The salary ranges from £65,000 to £75,000 annually, dependent on experience. This role offers the chance to make a genuine difference to people facing challenging circumstances.

REF:5378 – The Role

• You will work with vulnerable clients and their families, providing clear, compassionate advice while handling often complex matters involving mental capacity, care and the Court of Protection.
• You will take responsibility for a varied caseload, advising clients and their families and guiding them through sensitive legal issues with professionalism and empathy.
• Responsible for a varied caseload to include, mental capacity and related private client issues, lasting Powers of Attorney and Deputyship applications, Court of Protection applications and proceedings and financial and property matters involving vulnerable clients.
• Trusted to manage your own matters while working closely with colleagues and external professionals to achieve the best possible outcomes for your clients.

SKILLS REQUIRED

• Applications are sought from Solicitors or Legal Executives with a background in private client work and a particular interest in care, capacity and Court of Protection matters.
• Strong experience in care and capacity work.
• Experience of Court of Protection matters.
• Excellent client-care and communication skills.
• A calm, empathetic approach when dealing with vulnerable clients and their families.
• Strong organisation and attention to detail.
