Job summary

Clayton Legal is seeking a Private Client Solicitor in St Albans with around 4-6 years’ PQE to join a well‑established team. You will advise on a broad range of private client matters, from wills and estate planning to trusts and probate, with opportunities to take ownership of your own files.

Qualifications

• 4–6 years' PQE as a private client solicitor.
• Experience in wills, trusts, probate and LPA.
• Proven ability to manage client relationships.

Responsibilities

• Advise on wills and estate planning, trusts and probate.
• Handle lasting powers of attorney and inheritance tax planning.
• Take ownership of own file(s) while collaborating with experienced colleagues.

You'll advise on a broad range of private client matters, including:

• Wills and estate planning
• Trust creation and administration
• Probate and estate administration
• Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Inheritance tax planning

The team works on a wide variety of matters, from straightforward estate administration through to more complex succession planning for high-net-worth clients. You'll have the opportunity to take ownership of your own files while working closely with experienced colleagues on more technical matters, giving you plenty of scope to broaden your expertise.
