G2 Legal Limited is seeking an experienced Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its Private Client Department in the Bury or Rochdale area. You will manage complex caseloads, provide expert advice on wills, probate, trusts and estate planning, and mentor junior colleagues.

Applicants should have 10+ years PQE and STEP membership, with strong drafting, client care and commercial awareness. Competitive salary dependent on experience and a supportive firm environment are on offer.

Private Client Solicitor

Location: Bury or Rochdale

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

An established and growing law firm is seeking an experienced and ambitious Senior Private Client Solicitor to join its well-regarded Private Client Department.

This is an excellent opportunity for a senior practitioner to take on a varied and rewarding caseload, support the development of junior colleagues and play an active role in the continued growth of the department.

The Role

You will manage a varied and often complex caseload encompassing all aspects of private client work, including:

• Drafting complex wills and advising on estate and succession planning
• Probate and the administration of taxable and non-taxable estates
• Inheritance tax planning and estate preservation strategies
• Advising trustees, beneficiaries and settlors on trust-related matters
• Preparing and advising on Lasting Powers of Attorney
• Advising elderly and vulnerable clients with sensitivity and care

Alongside managing your own caseload, you will work collaboratively with colleagues across the firm to deliver a high standard of legal advice and client service.

You will also play an important role in supervising, mentoring and supporting junior members of the department.

About You

You will be an experienced private client solicitor who combines strong technical expertise with excellent client care, commercial awareness and a proactive approach.

You will have:

• Qualified solicitor status with a minimum of 10 years’ post-qualification experience in private client work
• Full STEP membership and qualification
• Extensive experience in wills, probate, estate administration and succession planning
• Strong technical knowledge of trusts, including their creation, administration and taxation
• Significant experience handling complex, high-value and taxable estates
• A sound understanding of inheritance tax, capital gains tax and income tax as they apply to estates and trusts
• The ability to manage a busy caseload independently while meeting agreed financial and performance targets
• Excellent drafting, analytical and problem-solving skills
