Job summary

Service Care Solutions are currently working with a well-established and highly regarded independent law firm in Cheshire who are looking to appoint a Senior Private Client Solicitor to join their growing Private Client Department.

The role focuses on Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney, with additional Court of Protection and Deputyship work, and includes supervising junior members and supporting department growth.

Qualifications

• A minimum of 5 years' PQE, ideally within Private Client.
• Strong experience across Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney.
• Experience with Court of Protection and Deputyship work would be advantageous.
• The ability to independently manage a varied Private Client caseload.
• A hands-on, flexible and proactive attitude.
• STEP qualification or progress towards STEP would be highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Managing a varied caseload covering Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney.
• Handling Court of Protection and Deputyship matters, where appropriate.
• Advising clients on a range of Private Client and elderly client matters.
• Managing files efficiently and ensuring compliance with SRA, Law Society and Lexcel requirements.
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the Private Client team.
• Supporting the continued development and growth of the department.
• Maintaining relevant departmental accreditations and professional standards.

The firm has been established for almost 30 years and has built an excellent reputation for providing high-quality legal advice and outstanding client service. Their Private Client team advises clients across a broad range of matters, including Wills, Trusts & Probate, Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection work. Location: Cheshire Salary: £55,000 – £75,000 per annum, negotiable depending on experience Job Type: Permanent

Responsibilities as a Senior Private Client Solicitor:

• Managing a varied caseload covering Wills, Probate and Powers of Attorney .
• Handling Court of Protection and Deputyship matters , where appropriate.
