Job summary

Venn Group's specialist Legal Recruitment team is recruiting for a Wills & Probate Solicitor for a well-established law firm in Greater Manchester. This permanent role involves working with senior Private Client lawyers on high-value matters and developing expertise within a supportive team.

The role requires 2-3 years' PQE in Wills & Probate or Private Client, with duties spanning wills, probate, trusts and estate administration, as well as tax planning and Court of Protection matters.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor with 2-3 years' PQE in Wills & Probate or Private Client law.
• Excellent communication and client care skills, especially with vulnerable clients.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration matters.
• Draft simple and complex Wills, LPAs and related Private Client documentation.
• Advise on inheritance tax planning, estate planning, trusts and probate matters.
• Assist with high-value Court of Protection and Private Client cases.
• Provide support to clients with sensitivity and empathy while meeting deadlines.

Venn Group's specialist Legal Recruitment team is recruiting for a Wills & Probate Solicitor on behalf of a well-established and long-standing law firm with in GreaterManchester. This permanent opportunity offers the chance to work alongside highly experienced Private Client lawyers, assisting on high-value matters while developing your expertise within a supportive and collaborative team.

The Role

You will be responsible for:

• Managing a varied caseload of Wills, Probate, Trusts and Estate Administration matters
• Drafting simple and complex Wills, Lasting Powers of Attorney, and associated Private Client documentation
• Advising clients on inheritance tax planning, estate planning, trusts and probate matters
• Assisting with high-value Court of Protection and Private Client cases
• Handling both simple and complex estate administration matters
• Supporting clients through sensitive circumstances with empathy and professionalism
• Managing new enquiries, correspondence and client communications
• Maintaining accurate records using the firm's case management systems

About You

• Qualified Solicitor with a minimum of 2-3 years' PQE in Wills & Probate or Private Client law
• Strong experience managing Wills, Probate, Estate Administration and Trust matters with minimal supervision
• Excellent communication and client care skills, particularly when supporting vulnerable clients and bereaved families
• Ability to work efficiently to deadlines and manage a busy caseload
• Strong IT skills, including experience using case management systems and Microsoft Office applications
• Experience dealing with contentious probate matters would be advantageous
