Job summary

Unknown Private Client team in England is seeking an experienced Solicitor to manage a caseload covering Wills, Probate, Power of Attorney, and related Elder care matters. The role emphasises hands-on delivery, strict file management, and strong client service.

The successful candidate will drive business development, mentor junior staff, and ensure adherence to WIQS and regulatory standards, with an office-based setup and some flexibility.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years PQE in Private Client Law, ideally with STEP qualification.

Responsibilities

• Managing a case load of Wills, Probate, Power of Attorney and Court of Protection matters.
• Maintaining efficient file management compliant with Lexcel, Law Society and SRA.
• Achieving fee earning and time recording targets as agreed with management.
• Managing business development and marketing responsibilities.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the Private Client team.
• Maintaining the annual WIQS accreditation.

Experience & Requirements

• Managing a case load of Wills, Probate, Power of Attorney and where appropriate Court of Protection and Deputyship, also advising on a range of services for the elderly.
• Maintaining efficient file management in accordance with set procedure and in compliance at all times with Lexcel, Law Society and SRA requirements.
• Achieving of fee earning and time recording targets. as agreed with management.
• Managing business development and marketing responsibilities.
• Building and maintaining strong client relationships.
• Supervising and mentoring junior members of the Private Client team.
• Maintaining the annual WIQS accreditation

Person Specification

Senior Solicitor or Legal Executive who ideally has a minimum of 5+ years PQE (ideally with STEP qualification) with substantial experience of handling their own case load, covering all aspects of Private Client Law.

This is primarily an office-based position due to the nature of the team set-up, however some flexibility may be considered.
