Job summary

National Law Firm in Birmingham is seeking a Private Client Partner with an established following to lead and grow the Birmingham private client practice. You will advise on wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and succession planning for HNW individuals and families, while actively driving business development and cross-referrals across the firm’s national network.

• Strong network across Birmingham and the Midlands.
• Proven track record of business development and winning new work.
• Excellent technical and commercial knowledge.
• Strong client relationships and communication skills.
• Credibility and confidence to act as a senior ambassador for the firm.
• Collaborative across a national practice.
• Ambition to build and grow a significant private client practice.

Responsibilities

• Advising high-net-worth individuals and families on complex private client matters.
• Managing a high-quality caseload including wills, trusts, estate planning, probate and succession planning.
• Advising business owners and entrepreneurs on wealth preservation and succession.
• Developing and maintaining long-term client relationships.
• Taking a proactive approach to business development and networking.
• Leveraging existing client following and introducing new opportunities to the firm.
• Working with colleagues across the firm's national network.
• Identifying cross-referral opportunities with Corporate, Commercial, Tax, Family and Real Estate teams.
• Supporting growth of the Birmingham private client practice.
• Raising the firm's profile within the regional market.
