Job summary

QED Legal LLP in Whitby/Driffield is seeking a Private Client Paralegal with 1+ years’ experience to support clients on Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney and contribute to an established team across Whitby and Driffield.

You will handle a busy Private Client workload, build relationships with individuals, families and rural clients, and develop broader Private Client knowledge in a supportive, flexible hybrid environment with a 9am–5pm schedule.

Private Client Paralegal | Wills & LPAs | Whitby / Driffield

1+ years’ Private Client experience preferred | £25,000–£35,000 depending on experience | Full Time

If you’re a Private Client Paralegal with experience in Wills and Lasting Powers of Attorney, there is a genuine opportunity to step into a busy and established team across Whitby and Driffield.

The Private Client workload has increased significantly, particularly in Driffield, where the closure of a long-established local practice has resulted in additional instructions coming into the team.

The requirement is primarily for someone who can support clients with Wills and LPAs, although there is scope to develop your wider Private Client experience depending on your existing knowledge and ambitions.

You’ll work with an established local client base, including individuals, families and rural/agricultural clients, with the opportunity to build relationships and develop your technical knowledge in a supportive environment.

This could suit a Private Client Paralegal, Legal Assistant or experienced Wills & Probate Paralegal who already has some practical experience and wants to develop rather than simply administer files.

Ideally, you’ll have:

• At least 1 year’s experience in Private Client
• Practical experience with Wills and LPAs
• Strong attention to detail and organisation
• Good client communication skills
• The confidence to deal with clients in a professional and approachable way
• An interest in developing your wider Private Client knowledge

You do not need to be a qualified solicitor for this position. If you're already experienced in Private Client and want to continue developing your career, the team is open to the right level of experience.
