Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Private Client Legal Secretary in a law firm.
  • Strong knowledge of Wills and Probate processes.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and proofread legal correspondence for fee earners.
  • Manage diaries and arrange appointments for fee earners.
  • Assist clients in person and over the phone with their matters.

Private Client Legal Secretary, Felixstowe

Time Appointments are delighted to be working on behalf of a highly regarded legal practice based in Felixstowe, who are currently seeking to appoint an experienced Private Client Legal Secretary. This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious Legal Secretary to work for a business that prides themselves on their excellent reputation.

Key Duties & Responsibilities:
  1. Preparation, checking, and proofreading of correspondence on behalf of fee earners
  2. Typing and completing legal forms, setting up documents
  3. Taking telephone calls and taking accurate messages
  4. Diary management for fee earners and arranging appointments
  5. Monitoring deadlines in respect of client affairs and notifying the relevant fee earner
  6. Assisting clients on the telephone and in person in respect of the handling of their matter
  7. Maintaining client files
  8. General and routine office duties, such as photocopying and filing
Skills & Experience:
  1. Proven Private Client Legal Secretarial experience gained from a professional law firm
  2. Knowledge of Wills & Probate
  3. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, written and verbal
  4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  5. Excellent computer skills, particularly using Microsoft Office, document management, and legal document production software
  6. Organised with a flexible approach to work
