Job summary

Legal Southwest Ltd in Somerset is seeking an experienced Private Client Lawyer to join a well-established team. You will manage a varied caseload across wills, probate, trusts and related tax planning, delivering high-quality, personal service to clients.

You will build long-term relationships with clients, advise on complex private client matters, and work closely with colleagues to ensure files progress efficiently from instruction to completion.

Qualifications

• Solid experience in private client work managing wills, probate, trusts and tax planning.
• Ability to build client relationships and deliver personal service.
• Strong communication and organisation.
• Experience advising vulnerable clients preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied private client caseload from instruction to completion.
• Advise on Wills, Probate, Trusts and related matters.
• Build and maintain long-term client relationships.
• Prepare and draft legal documents.
• Provide clear, practical legal advice.
• Collaborate with colleagues when interdepartmental input is needed.
• Keep files up to date and meet deadlines.
• Contribute to the private client department's development.
