Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ PQE in Private Client law.
• Strong drafting, negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent client-facing abilities and relationship-building.
• First or upper-second class degree with LPC commendation desirable.

Responsibilities

• Provide private client services with a focus on complex matters.
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships.
• Draft, negotiate and finalise legal documents for private clients.
• Utilise strong IT skills, including Excel, in case management.

Job description

AJ Chambers are recruiting for a highly motivated and experienced Private Client Solicitor to join a dynamic and growing legal practice in the heart of London. If you are passionate about providing excellent client care, have a proven track record in private client work and are seeking a new challenge, this could be the opportunity for you.

Main Responsibilities:

• A minimum of a 2:1 degree, with a Commendation at LPC level desirable.
• Highly numerate, IT literate and possessing an excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
• A qualified solicitor with a minimum of 3 years’ PQE, with significant experience in Private Client law.
• Strong technical knowledge of Private Client law and related areas, with the ability to apply this knowledge effectively to complex matters.
• Excellent client-facing and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong professional relationships.
• Exceptional drafting, negotiation and communication skills, both written and verbal.
• A proactive, commercial and solution-focused approach, with the ability to think creatively and develop innovative solutions to complex issues.

Requirements:

• Degree level 2:1 and ideally commendation at LPC level
• Qualify into and maintain professional development in a professional body such as STEP
• Highly numerate, IT literate, with excellent working knowledge of Excel.
• Support internal procedures and systems of Russell-Cooke including file and financial management
• Attend internal training and external training as and when required
• Read journals and attend courses as part of continuing professional development
• Maintain high standards of professional conduct while generating adequate practice income, ensuring that the fees earned sufficiently exceed total costs and expenses incurred
