Job summary

Property Litigation Solicitor sought to join a busy Leeds team handling a varied property disputes caseload, with both commercial and residential matters. You will run matters independently, support department development, and contribute to business development and referrers.

We expect 5+ years’ PQE in property litigation, strong experience of forfeiture, possession and rent recovery, and a client-focused, commercially aware approach.

Qualifications

• Qualified Solicitor (England and Wales) with 5+ years’ PQE in property litigation.
• Strong experience of forfeiture and possession claims (commercial and residential).
• Experience of rent recovery, including money claims and CRAR.
• Advice on property rights disputes, including boundary disputes and easements.
• Enfranchisement experience, including statutory lease extensions and freehold acquisitions.
• Strong client care and communication skills.
• Organised and commercially aware with the ability to manage a busy caseload.
• Comfortable taking ownership of WIP, billing and cash collection.

Responsibilities

• Managing a caseload of property litigation matters from instruction through to conclusion.
• Handling forfeiture and possession claims across commercial and residential properties.
• Advising on rent recovery, including money claims and CRAR.
• Advising on property rights disputes, including boundary disputes and easements.
• Supporting on enfranchisement matters, including lease extensions and freehold acquisitions.
• Delivering accurate, reliable work in line with quality and risk management procedures.
• Managing WIP, billing and cash collection effectively.
• Developing work from existing clients and generating new instructions via networking and referrer relationships.
• Contributing to marketing and business development activity at firmwide, departmental and office level.

Salary: £60,000 to £85,000 (depending on experience)

If you are a Property Litigation solicitor who enjoys technical disputes, taking ownership of files, and building long-term client relationships, this is a strong opportunity to join a busy Leeds team with a varied contentious property caseload.

Our client is looking to hire an experienced Property Litigation Solicitor to run matters independently, support the development of the department, and contribute to business development and referrer relationships.

You will handle a broad range of property disputes across both commercial and residential property. The role offers real variety, with a mix of court-driven work and advisory matters, and the chance to play a key role in growing the practice.

What You’ll Be Doing

What We’re Looking For
