Location, This is a hybrid working role with a requirement to attend, the London, Farringdon, EC1A 1AA office every Tuesday and 1 other day each week.

You'll be joining for the final 18 months of a transformative 3-year Privacy Programme aimed at strengthening privacy and information governance to drive business value across Royal Mail. This is a pivotal phase focused on driving the programme to successful completion. You'll be part of a high -performing team recognised for excellence - by the Institute of Internal Communications award for excellence' and winners of the Privacy Team of the Year' by the Picasso Privacy Awards in 2023, and shortlisted in 2024, as was the Privacy Programme.

About the role

As a Privacy Project Manager you will work with the Privacy Programme Manager, Project Sponsors, and SMEs over an 18-month period to drive delivery. You'll be leading planning, budgeting, progress tracking, reporting, and managing stakeholder engagement within a defined governance framework - using standard project management tools and methodologies. This is a hands-on role, requiring proactive management and ownership of actions to keep the programme on track.

The Privacy projects you will be involved in, are Information Governance & Data Deletion, Third Party Privacy Risk, and AI Governance. You will ensure that projects are delivered on time, within cost parameters, to quality and deliver stated benefits.

You will also
Identify, monitor and manage the risks and issues within the project working with senior stakeholders to identify and deploy suitable mitigation
Lead all governance arrangements for project delivery including reporting and risk management
Lead financial and other resource allocation to optimise the return on investment and subsequently the planning and controlling of project finances.
Establish and manage reviews at appropriate points and levels throughout the project lifecycle, and all required meetings.

About You

To truly excel in this role, you will possess, and be able to evidence, the skills and experience listed below:
Able to coherently articulate and drive the Programme/Project Plan and the team to deliver key elements of the plan and dependencies
Able to proactively manage activities and budgets with multiple internal and external key stakeholders
Able to utilise appropriate measurement tools to evaluate the on-going progress and effectiveness of a project
Proven experience of operating at senior stakeholder level
Knowledge of privacy, risk and information governance processes within a live project environment [not essential but desirable].
