Job summary

AJ Bell is seeking a Privacy Operations Manager to lead the day-to-day delivery of our privacy management framework within the Data Governance team in Manchester. You will ensure privacy processes, controls and records are effective, governed and consistently operated, partnering with the DPO, Risk and Compliance teams.

You’ll coordinate DPIAs, Records of Processing Activities, retention and deletion, data subject rights and incident management, delivering measurable improvements and management

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of data protection principles and how they map to processes and controls.
• Experience coordinating DPIAs and data subject rights across multiple systems.
• Experience operating service management and ticketing workflows.
• Ability to drive privacy governance improvements across a regulated organisation.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational delivery of AJ Bell's privacy management framework.
• Coordinate DPIAs, ensure tracking and approval through required stages.
• Maintain Records of Processing Activities with complete, evidenced records.
• Lead retention and deletion activities with Data Owners and Tech teams.
• Support fulfilment of data subject rights through data discovery and retrieval.
• Operate processes and tooling for SARs and information rights activities.
• Coordinate erasure, rectification and restriction requests end-to-end.
• Manage privacy service desk tickets and cross-team workflows.
• Develop operational processes for data discovery and retrieval.
• Produce management information on privacy performance and action status.
