Job summary

Morgan Stanley in Glasgow seeks a Privacy Compliance Director (AVP) to lead privacy risk assessments, governance, and policy implementation across business lines. You will oversee PIIs policy execution, risk management, and regulatory alignment within the Global Privacy program.

Reporting to the International Data Protection Officer, you will coordinate with cross-functional teams to implement privacy controls, monitor compliance, and drive continuous improvement in privacy risk management at

Qualifications

• Understanding of Privacy Compliance laws (GDPR, CCPA, Reg P, GLBA/FCRA among others) and appropriate controls.
• Experience with privacy-related tech like cookies, mobile devices, biometric and geolocation data.
• Proficient in basic Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated organizational skills, proactive work ethic and team player mindset.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
• Typically, 5+ years' relevant experience would be expected.

Responsibilities

• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) related to various technologies and systems.
• Check adherence to compliance program management principles, risk assessment methodologies, and internal control frameworks.
• Assist with DPO metrics and reporting.
• Provide advice and guidance for Privacy Business Unit/Regional Control Functional Leads.
• Assist with implementation of applicable international Privacy regulations and controls across business units via gap analysis and control implementation.
