Job summary

Visa in London is seeking a seasoned privacy lawyer to act as the subject-matter expert on privacy across Visa products and services, guiding compliance with GDPR and European data protection laws.

You will craft privacy policies, handle data subject requests, draft contracts, and collaborate with business partners to deliver practical privacy solutions while contributing to Visa's Global Privacy Program.

Qualifications

• Qualified lawyer in England and Wales with PQE experience.
• Privacy subject-matter expert experience.
• Strong academics and training including legal drafting and negotiating.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills with stakeholders.
• Analytical capabilities and attention to detail.
• Ability to work in a team or own initiative.
• Fluent in English.

Responsibilities

• Act as subject-matter expert on privacy in Visa's products and services.
• Provide legal advice on GDPR and European privacy laws.
• Provide guidance on privacy impact assessments.
• Assist with data subject rights requests.
• Draft and negotiate privacy-related contracts and agreements.
• Develop privacy policies, procedures, and training.
