Job summary

GMMH seeks a Practitioner Psychologist to join the mental health and wellbeing team at Forest Bank, delivering psychological care and formulations within a stepped care model. You will supervise Assistant Psychologists and collaborate with CBT therapists and WPs, contributing to service development and referrals.

The role focuses on Step 2/3 therapy with potential Step 4 input, within a large multi-professional team and clinical governance framework, in a secure setting.

Qualifications

• Psychological therapy and intervention with complex presentations.
• Providing supervision to others.
• Working in prison or secure settings.

Responsibilities

• Work within the integrated mental health team and contribute to psychological care.
• Work with service-users to support improved psychological health and well-being.
• Develop detailed assessments and formulations linked to mental health and behaviour in custody.
• Provide individual therapy driven by a strong working formulation.
• Contribute to psychologically informed practice and staff development.
• Provide psychological advice within multi-disciplinary forums.
• Provide supervision and line management to others, including less senior staff.
• Attend clinical, operational and referral meetings and contribute to reporting.
