Job summary

Sodexo Justice Services is expanding its Prison Custody Officer team at HMP Altcourse in Fazakerley, Liverpool. This is an essential role where you help create a safe, respectful environment, support prisoners' rehabilitation and contribute to reducing reoffending.

You will complete an eight-week training programme locally, join a professional team, and engage in everyday duties like maintaining safety, supervising movements, and building constructive relationships to aid offender progression.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years old to apply.
• Please note that sponsorship is not offered for this position.
• Eight-week local training programme will prepare you for the role.

Responsibilities

• Maintain safety, security and wellbeing of prisoners, staff and visitors.
• Supervise prisoner movements and ensure people are accounted for.
• Build professional, respectful relationships as a trusted Key Worker.
• Support prisoners to engage with education, employment and rehabilitation.
• Encourage positive behaviour and support personal progression goals.
• Complete accurate reports and maintain prison records.
