Job summary

Scottish and Southern Electricity Networks is seeking a Priority Service Advisor in Perth to support vulnerable customers with empathy and professionalism. The role involves data entry, maintaining the priority customer database, and delivering accurate, high-quality service in a busy environment.

You will work with flexible hours, including weekdays and Saturdays, to cover weather-related incidents and network events while upholding industry regulations and SSEN values.

Qualifications

  • Experience in a customer-focused role, ideally in a fast-paced contact centre, supporting vulnerable customers.
  • Excellent communication skills and a professional telephone manner, delivering high-quality service as an SSEN ambassador.
  • Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and accurate information handling.
  • Ability to handle sensitive or challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, especially during weather incidents and network events.

Responsibilities

Base Location: Perth

Salary: £30,684 - £36,666 + a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time

The role

As a Priority Service Advisor, you will speak directly with our vulnerable customers, listening to their concerns, then making every effort to look after those who need extra assistance.

For this role we would require your flexibility between Monday to Friday 07:00-20:00 and Saturday 08:00-17:00.

You will
  • Speak directly with our vulnerable customers making every effort to support with their concern where possible.
  • Register new priority customers on our database and keep our database up to date.
  • Be proficient in data input and manage spreadsheets and SharePoint.
  • Produce a high quality of work, paying close attention to detail and intensely listen for customer vulnerability to ensure we comply with the industry regulations.
You have
  • Previous experience in a customer-focused role, ideally within a fast-paced contact centre environment, including supporting vulnerable customers.
  • Excellent communication skills, a professional telephone manner and a strong commitment to delivering exceptional customer service as an ambassador for SSEN and its values.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage information accurately and maintain a high level of attention to detail.
  • Proven ability to handle sensitive, emotional, or challenging situations with empathy and professionalism.
  • Flexibility to adapt to changing business needs, particularl y when responding to weather-related incidents and network events.
