ROLE DETAILS
- Collaborate closely with the Production Controllers, Production Manager, and Team Leader to ensure a thorough understanding of client expectations and deliverables, ensuring a high standard of brief clarity.
- Build strong working relationships with external suppliers to gain a deep understanding of production processes, item assembly, and the complexities of the collation and packing stages.
- Manage the operational aspects of product manufacturing, ensuring maximum efficiency throughout the process.
- Stay informed about ongoing projects, aiming to reduce production costs and timelines while minimizing material and time waste, from quoting to final production.
- Deliver tasks on time, to specification, and to the highest quality standards. If delays or issues arise, promptly escalate to the Production Manager and/or Account Manager with proposed solutions.
- Maintain clear and consistent communication with the Account Management team and clients, providing regular updates on job progress, challenges, and solutions.
- Keep your knowledge up to date on MIS systems, as well as product, material, and technical process advancements.
- Continuously seek opportunities for improvement in client work, ensuring high standards are met and exceeded.
ESSENTIAL EXPERIENCE
- Previous use of Optimus is preferred
- Some knowledge of print production practices and processes
- Good knowledge of print materials and how it can be packed without being damaged in transport
- High level of attention to detail
- Good Excel skills to work out correct weights / correct transport
- Able to work under pressure and to tight deadlines
- Ability to communicate effectively internally with colleagues and externally with clients
- Good relationship building and negotiation skills
- 2 years’ experience with packing / shipping
- Analytical thinking skills
- Professional approach to problem solving and internal customer relations
- Reliable, trustworthy and conscientious
- Effective and collaborative team player
- Prepared to listen and learn from others
- Ability to be flexible and adaptable to priorities and business needs
