Job summary

Marchant Recruitment is seeking an efficient Reprographics Technician for a well-established secondary academy in Bristol. You will manage a high-volume printing hub, bind study booklets, laminate learning aids, and maintain heavy-duty machinery to support daily teaching and exams.

Based in a dedicated print centre, you will process print requests, monitor consumables, troubleshoot basic faults, and liaise with service engineers for specialist repairs.

Qualifications

• Experience in reprographics, printing, document publishing, or busy office administrative roles.
• Proficiency operating commercial printing machinery and desktop publishing software.
• Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage competing printing deadlines calmly.

Responsibilities

• Operate and maintain industrial digital printers, photocopiers, guillotines, binding machines, and laminators.
• Process print requests submitted by teaching and administrative staff, ensuring accurate turnaround for morning lessons.
• Format, print, assemble, and finish student workbooks, examination papers, newsletters, and promotional brochures.
• Monitor paper, toner, and stationery stock levels, placing supplier orders and managing machine service logs.
• Troubleshoot basic printing hardware faults and liaise with external service engineers for specialized repairs.
• Support school display creation, mounting artwork, and organizing promotional event banners.
