We are looking for an experienced Chartered Surveyor to join us as a Principal Valuer, combining varied and challenging valuation work with the opportunity to lead and develop a small team of professional and technical staff in Aberdeenshire.
Your work will span both domestic and commercial property, with responsibility for Council Tax banding and non-domestic rating valuations. The role also encompasses more complex property valuations, negotiations with property owners and professional agents, staff development and the presentation of valuation evidence before valuation Tribunals.
Previous experience of local taxation valuation is desirable but not essential, and we welcome applications from Chartered Surveyors with relevant experience gained in private practice or other valuation environments, particularly in commercial or residential property.
If you are ready to broaden your professional experience and take on greater responsibility, this is an opportunity to put your valuation expertise to use in a varied and rewarding public-sector role.
The posts are available on a permanent basis and are open to suitably qualified applicants seeking either full-time or part-time hours. Where a post has more than one salary scale, the successful candidate will be appointed on the appropriate scale, taking account of their relevant experience.
