Job summary

Education Authority (Northern Ireland) invites applications for a Principal post in a high-achievement primary school. The successful candidate will lead strategic direction, curriculum planning and staff development to promote excellent teaching and pupil outcomes.

They will work with governors, staff, parents and the wider community to ensure high standards, safeguarding, and effective use of resources, in alignment with NI regulations and EA policies.

Qualifications

• Hold a teaching qualification recognised to teach in grant-aided schools in Northern Ireland.
• Minimum of 8 years post-qualification teaching experience in primary education in the last 13 years.
• Experience in strategic leadership or co-ordination at SMT/SLT level.
• Registered with the General Teaching Council for Northern Ireland (GTCNI) upon taking up employment.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-quality leadership to secure school improvement.
• Develop and implement the School Development Plan and performance management.
• Lead, motivate and manage staff, fostering a collaborative culture.
• Engage with Governors, parents and the local community to support pupil achievement.
