Job Description:

Senior Traffic Signals Design Engineer (Remote, United Kingdom)

We are seeking an experienced engineer to lead the design of complex signalised junctions, pedestrian crossings, and intelligent traffic control systems across various high-profile infrastructure projects. This role offers a 50/50 split between home working and onsite presence for surveys, design validations, and stakeholder engagement.

Join our Engineering Team at Telent to innovate and develop solutions, working closely with technical experts committed to impactful work. Be part of a high-performing team maintaining the nation's critical infrastructure connectivity and security 24/7.

Responsibilities:
  • Conduct on-site inspections, surveys, commissioning, and supervision
  • Prepare technical designs for complex signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings following approved procedures, including technical specifications
  • Provide technical oversight for new product or service ideas and design plans
  • Develop complex MOVA Designs and MOVA Datasets
  • Ensure compliance with standards such as TSRGD, DMRB, and the Traffic Signs Manual
  • Undertake MOVA Validations of complex junctions and roundabouts
Candidate Profile:

Ideal candidates will have experience in designing signalised junctions and pedestrian crossings and are looking to advance to a Senior Design Services Engineer role with a fresh perspective on existing Traffic Signal Design solutions.

Key Requirements:
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD, Keysignals, OSC Mapper, and AutoTURN software
  • Microsoft Office skills
  • Knowledge of TOPAS 2500A Traffic Signal Controller Specifications
  • Familiarity with MOVA tools, datasets, and linking
  • Experience with LinSig 3
  • Full UK Driving Licence
